On the Land Support Coordinator We are seeking a collaborative, organized, and strong communicator for the position of On the Land Support Coordinator. This is a term position based in Sǫ̀mba K’è/ Yellowknife until March 31, 2022. Forward a resume and cover letter along with three references to stremblay@nwtrpa.org by June 18, 2021 at 4 PM (MST).

News from the Canadian Parks and Recreation Association
Federal Budget 2021 and the Recreation Sector In April, the Government of Canada released its 2021 budget. It includes many important opportunities for the recreation sector, including funding for the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy, a new Community Services Recovery Fund, the creation of the Natural Infrastructure Fund, and funding to remove barriers to participation in sports programming, and more.
The Canadian Parks and Recreation Association has written a briefing note with all the relevant sections. Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Infrastructure Canada has launched the Call for Applications for the new Green and Inclusive Community Buildings Program (GICB).
As part of the Government of Canada’s strengthened climate plan, the federal government announced an investment of $1.5 billion for green and inclusive community buildings that will support retrofits, repairs, upgrades or new builds. This investment will help build back better, support jobs and economic growth, create a cleaner environment, and invest in communities across the country. Join the CPRA's The Bench The Bench includes discussion groups, a resource library and events page. You can join discussion groups on topics including reopening, parks and open spaces and inclusion and accessibility, among others.
