Board Buzz - a Weekend of Connection, Learning and Inspiration!

Last month, the NWTRPA volunteer Board of Directors gathered for a weekend focused on

strengthening the organization, supporting members, and continuing to advance recreation

across the NWT.

The weekend included conversations on a wide range of topics, including finance, ongoing

bylaws and constitution review work, board and staff updates, regional trends, and future

planning for the NWTPRA.

One of the highlights of the weekend was participating in string games together. Mahsi Cho to

Gerri Sharp for sharing your time, stories, and wisdom with us. The session offered a chance to

learn, laugh, connect, and reflect on the role of traditional games and cultural knowledge can

play in recreation and relationship-building.

As always, one of the most valuable parts of these meetings is the opportunity for board

members from across the NWT to come together, share perspectives from their regions and

communities, and learn from one another. Conversations touched on both challenges and

exciting opportunities happening across the North.

Thank you to our volunteer Board of Directors, presenters, and guests who contributed their

time, perspectives, and energy throughout the weekend.

Stay tuned - more great things ahead!
