Looking for Get Active grants? The Get Active grant program will resume once the GNWT public health authority has cleared the territory to resume normal operations.

Get Active funds free-to-the-public community events that get people physically active in the NWT.

Get Active normally funds community events that get people physically active in the NWT. Community organizations are usually encouraged to apply for $750, $850, or $1000 to organize and deliver community-oriented physical activity events.


Get Active grant applications are currently closed but may re-open in September 2021, depending on the COVID-19 pandemic.


June Get Active grant applications may open in May 2021 as part of June is Recreation and Parks Month, but this may change due to COVID-19.
