Recreation Leaders Day
Recreation Leaders Day is an annual event organized by the NWTRPA to recognize recreation professionals and volunteers and to promote active living.
Since the first annual Recreation Week in 2002, many groups have participated in a variety of events including the Terry Fox Run, corporate challenges and baseball tournaments.
Recreation week has now evolved into Recreation Leaders Day to help better recognize the efforts of our community recreation leaders.
Recreation Leaders Day is on September 17th, 2007.
We encourage all communities and NWT residents to thank their local Recreation Coordinator for all that they do to keep the community recreation and sport programs running.
