Regional Workshops
The NWTRPA host two Regional Workshops, generally one is held in Hay River and the second in Inuvik.
The workshops are hosted at the beginning of the summer season and provide summer aquatics staff with training and networking opportunities.
Workshop topics include:
- History of NWT Aquatics
- NWT culture & what to expect in your community
- How to get your pool/waterfront started and keep it running
- Water quality and your pool / waterfront
- Aquatic programming and Special Events ideas!
- Guest presentations from the Red Cross, the Lifesaving Society, Environmental Health Office, Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary and Transport Canada
- Red Cross and NLS Recertification
- How to recruit, train and retain local aquatics staff
