2007 Annual Conference
Thank you to the Town of Hay River for hosting this year’s Annual Conference on June 14th to 17th, 2007. This was the 1st Partners Conference hosted by the NWT Council of Sport and Recreation. The five partners include:

- Beaufort Delta Sahtu Recreation Association
- Mackenzie Recreation Association
- Aboriginal Sport Circle of the Western Arctic
- Sport North Federation

Goals of Annual Conference:
- To provide an educational forum for NWTRPA members, practitioners and volunteers for examining trends, issues and problems affecting leisure service across the territories.
- To provide a forum for professionals, volunteers and political leaders in the leisure services delivery field to discuss, analyze and integrate development affecting their spheres of interest.
- To focus public attention on territorial issues and challenges affecting the provision of recreation and park services.
- To provide an opportunity for contact and fellowship among those people working and volunteering with the recreation and park movement and to foster a greater understanding of mutual concerns.
- To provide a venue for the exhibit of resources and commercial products and services.
- To provide a setting for the NWTRPA Annual General Meeting (AGM).
