Welcome to the NWTRPA, Amanda Grobbecker!
The NWTRPA is excited to welcome a new member to our team. Amanda Grobbecker assumes the role of the NWTRPA’s new Director – Professional Development, and will be responsible for a variety of programs, including HIGH FIVE, the Annual Conference, and the Community Leaders Retreat.
Amanda Grobbecker moved to Yellowknife from Ontario in 2012. She started her own fitness business when she moved, teaching Jump A Bunch (the bouncy boots) and DANCEPL3Y (dance play). During the past three years she has been certifying others in these programs, enabling these individuals provide ongoing programs in their communities.
When Amanda isn’t busy dancing or jumping, she can usually be found on a plane – flying to her next adventure with her 8-month old daughter Izzy. She and Izzy love to travel, visit family and friends, and stay very active. They have been busy swimming, hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, and having random dance parties! Izzy is eager to learn to walk – once she does Amanda has all sorts of plans to teach her how to play badminton and volleyball!
Amanda holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Leadership and is passionate about teaching others. She is excited to begin in her new role as the Director – Professional Development at the NWTRPA.
