New Logo for our Newest Program
We are excited to announce our beautiful new logo for our newest program–Generations on the Move, which was originally called the Active Healthy Intergenerational Connections project. After some careful thought and collaboration during our forum with Elders and older adults in December, a new and shorter name was born! We enjoy the momentum in the logo of “Generations on the Move” and know that it represents our program goal of connecting people of all ages through active living.
The logo shows two hands of different ages coming together to engage in outdoor activity. Many of us love the outdoors and spending time connecting with other people there. However, this is also the perfect opportunity to remind everyone that recreation includes far more than outdoor activity! Anything that gets you moving, increases heart rate, or challenges balance, flexibility, and fine motor skills can be included. Gathering and preparing food, sewing, dance groups, making music, and chopping wood can all be considered recreational activities.
We hope you enjoy the fresh feel of our new logo and that when you see it in the coming years, it will inspire you to connect with someone outside of your age group in an active way.
